time really flies by, and before I even knew it we're halfway through May.

everything has been pretty hectic lately.. and I know that's what I always say when I post after a while I haven't. but with all my GCSEs on the line (finished with English today! hallelujah!) and.. drum roll please.. my new job at Mango (!) - it's getting hard to keep it together.
so I guess my job is the reason why I posted these gorgeous shots of the even more gorgeous Isabeli Fontana. plus, I helped a lady find the dress in the 4th picture yesterday.

I've been a really bad blogger.

but,

I'M EIGHTEEN! I know, that's not really an excuse, but I just can't let go of the whole birthday atmosphere.

my birthday was 12 days ago and I can honestly say it was the best one so far thanks to my amazing family and friends. there's a huge post all about it coming up so I bet you'd stay tuned, wouldn't you?

also, I have so many new stuff to show you including tons of rings, earrings, shoes and vintage finds. most of them are birthday presents. ahh!

my exhibition (the practical part of the art final, you know) is coming up in a little less than 2 weeks and boy, it's almost impossible to believe all of our hard work is going to come to an end. that's why I kind of disappeared, with all the pressure to finish my work and get everything done on time.

so this whole hectic month got me on the search for something pure and simple. don't know how to explain it. the moment I saw this picture on Lulu's blog I was like, "that's it". and in a way, I think that's what we're all looking for.

there has been a lot of buzz around Gap's latest Spring collection (I read 3 articles about it in 3 different magazines!), and I can totally understand why.

Patrick Robinson did a fantastic work by creating beautiful, season-appropriate pieces in colors like khaki, mustard and coral along with white and light shades of gray. I think this collection is not only "modern", in Robinson's words, but it also represnts Gap's transformation from the brand America loves most to a more stylish, fashion forward company.

my dad more than surprised me on Sunday when (after I passed the driving theory test!) he got me the brand new Canon Powershot SX30 IS camera! I wanted.. well actually I needed a new camera after my previous one, a very simple yet incredibly good Canon A590 IS started to grow old and not function as it did in the past.

bottom line - I am a very happy person now!

and you know what that means?

that I will finally start taking pictures of my outfits and other fashion-related things!

p.s. New York Fall Fashion week start tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it even though I'm not in NY. weird? not necessarily.

summer is still a far away dream (although the weather has been lovely in the past few days), but with such beautiful pieces like the ones above, I can't stop coming up with ideas for light, 70's inspired outfits.

I came back from art camp yesterday and those 3 days were the best ones I've had in a long, long time. I have no idea what I'm going to do without all my friends and teachers (who are much more like mentors) next year. being a senior includes too many goodbyes! I'll post pictures soon.

Sore feet & mini caribbean burgers

a short review of my Christmas & new year's celebrations. last night was the best one I've had in a long time, and it included, as the title says, sore feet (from walking in 10 cm heels for 7 hours), mini caribbean burgers (with pineapple chunks on them!), very strange yet cool people, a failed attempt to catch a cab (we stood on the side of the road for freakin' 2 hours!) and a spontaneous sleepover at 4:30 am.

the weather is almost too nice to be true today and got my really inspired to make my own Fall/Winter essentials collage. I absolutely fell in love with the basics (the t-shirt, track pants and blazer), but what makes them even more loveable (?) are the accessories and pops of color (like the Marc Jacobs bag.. that orange is amazing!). I could wear each of these items in so many different ways if I had them.. but I guess I'll have to search for cheaper alternatives.

hey fellas. so school started 2 weeks ago and to be honest? I'm totally loving it so far. bring on senior year full force like yeah! although it has been a bit intense (I had 2 art projects to hand in + my super awesome English project about David LaChapelle), I'm really trying to take a deep breath and remind myself I have to make the best out of everything I do.

this to-die-for pair of sunglasses is from her SS 2010 collection, Sun Gods. the entire collection was actually modeled on Egyptian gods, and it includes a variety of styles that would look good on anyone.

I'm very happy to announce that I booked my first vacation with friends only today! just me, my 3 besties and 5 entire days of fun in the sun. I've never gone on a trip without my family before, and last year they promised me that this summer I can go all by myself. so yeah, I feel pretty mature now. tomorrow will be exactly 1 month till we go and I'm too excited already!

alright, it's confession time everybody!

when I was 12 I bought my first pair of converses. they were orange and I wore them every single day. from that time on, I got addicted. I started an entire converses collection that included over 12 pairs! I spent not so little sums of money on limited editions and special pairs, but that was my signature back at the time.

as time went by, I discovered the heels and other kinds of flats and my converse collection got kind of neglected. I still own a few pairs (my sister inherited some of them) but don't wear them as often as I used to.

now, why am I telling you all this?

because when I saw this Comme Des Gracon Play pair on Annabel's blog, I was flooded with memories and just couldn't help it - these are simply awesome! don't you think?

today was my last final for this year. I'm finally free! no more waking up at 7am on saturdays! no more endless hours of reading the same things over and over again!

THE SUMMER VACATION HAS BEGUN!

so yeah, it's here. it's finally here. the moment I've been waiting for for months! goodbye school, hello beach.

I actually can't believe I'm going to be a senior next year. how did 11 years pass by so fast? it just doesn't make any sense.. to me anyway.

I have so many things planned to do this summer, hope I'll make it! what plans did you make?

by the way, I want to say a major thank you for all the lovely comments! I feel like all the hard work I'm doing for this blog is finally paying off. I swear I'd give you all a big hug if I could! till then, a virtual hug will do. :)

my previous cellphone decided to drop dead 2 days ago so my dad surprised me with a brand new Sony Ericsson W595! it's so freakin' awesome. I named it Barney (after Barney Stinson of course!). it has all kinds of cool applications and the sound quality is sweeeet. now I can't get my hands off of it!

hello hello hello! my friend came back from Amsterdam 2 days ago and surprised me with this too-good-to-be-true nail polish from H&M! isn't it just dreamy? and yeah, it's as bright in real life as it looks in the pictures. think I'm gonna wear it all summer long.

plus I chopped some of my hair off last thursday (last time I got a haircut was 3 months ago, Jessica Stroup style but it got a little too long for me). best decision I've made lately!

so I just got back from a run with my friend and it was so freakin' hot that it made me realize - it's already June! time has passed by so fast and soon enough I'll have all the time in the world to go to the beach and simply do nothing. the pictures above were taken last summer which was the best I've ever had by far.. but who knows what this one will be like!

I just love to come across an editorial like this one. it's like.. romantic with a twist. first of all, after Abbey Lee's feature in Vogue Australia (which I l-o-v-e!), seeing this version of dyed hair is so refreshing. add the to-die-for clothes and voila! you got yourself a perfect editorial.

yesterday I went to see Sex And The City 2 and to tell you the truth?

I LOVED IT!

yeah, that's right. I don't care about all those sophisticated critics, I had such a good time. especially since I went with my very own SATC girls (my friend's mum determined that I'm Samantha because of my passion for life and joy.. but she didn't referred to the sex! haha).. one of them celebrated her birthday 2 days ago so the timing was just right to take her see it.

okay, I'm coming clean.. I have a major obsession with owls. whether they're on necklaces, rings, bracelets or t shirts - they catch my eye and don't let it go! this ring is simply gorgeous, and since I've got some cash left.. I think I'm gonna make it mine soon.

P.S. someone actually stole the math final yesterday. look, I understand that you're nervous, we all are (I should know..), but this is ridiculous. I couldn't help but laugh when I heard about it!

I'm such a mess. I lost my 2 favourite rings today, and you know where? at the mall's ladies room. damn it, it's as if I couldn't find another place to leave them at! like my room! or the kitchen! let me tell you the whole story: we did some shooting for the movie I'm in (I'm playing a shopaholic, how ironic right?) outside of the mall. when we were finished, I went to the ladies room - there I washed my hands and stupidly took my rings off. because I was in a huge hurry I just left my rings there.. and noticed that about 2 and a half hours later. and when I came back to ask if someone found them it was too late..

so yep, I'm rings-less now. well, not entirely, but these 2 were my favourites! one I got for my 16th birthday last year (right), and the other one was my mum's (left).

luckily, I found a very similiar ring at the same store where my parents got me the originial one:

nice right? and as for the other one.. I'll probably go vintage treasure-hunting soon.

P.S. yes, I know this whole post is dedicated to my lost rings which may seem stupid to some people. get over it.

while I was patrolling the fashion blogsphere today (I gotta get my daily dose of fashion) I noticed that the Pamela Love talon cuffs and raven skull necklaces are all over the place! you can see it on Rumi, Lisa's current favourites list and many others.

just playing around with Poladroid. my hair looks super short here, but it's not really - I just put in in a ponytail and took out (what's left of my) bangs.
I found out that running your own blog isn't as easy as it looks.. I mean, before I started it I always had ideas for posts but now it seems as if they're all gone!
one more thing, May has started and along with the final exams, and that means I won't have all the time I need to blog.. I'll try my best though!

P.S. I smelled Lola by Marc Jacobs yesterday and it's probably THE best perfume ever made. well.. after DKNY Be Delicious.

so.. here it is. my very own fashion blog. at last. yep.
here's the story, I've been thinking about starting a blog for so long and even came up with awesome titles for posts everytime I found an inspiring picture but for some reason.. it was never carried out.
